Setup Custom Domain Tracking in Bluehost
Boost your deliverability by using custom tracking domain and learn how to add new records or edit existing ones in Bluehost. 

STEP 1 :

Go on the top right corner & click on your profile

 

  • Click on "Settings"


  • In settings : click on "CNAME" tab

 

STEP 2:

Now, add the domain you want to track as custom tracking domain & click on "Verify Domain"



STEP 3:

SendBuzz will automatically give you the information you need to complete your Custom Domain set-up as shown below :



 

Once we detect the registrar, you can put the CNAME you want to track for your domain here :

 


Now , let's go to your domain provider ( eg. Bluehost ) to create a sub-domain with info SendBuzz gave to you.

 

Creating a CNAME in Bluehost

    • Legacy Version: Go to the Domains section and select the DNS Zone Editor icon.

    • Rock Version: Click on the Domains tab from the side navigation menu, and then select the Zone Editor option

  1. Choose the domain you want to modify from the drop-down box.

  2. Scroll down towards heading named Add DNS Record.

  3. Enter the desired record name in the Host Record field.

  4. Keep the TTL field at its default setting.

  5. Select CNAME from the drop-down labeled Type.

  6. Enter the address that the record should resolve to in the Points To field.

  7. Other fields may appear depending on the type of record you are creating.

  8. Tap on the Add Record button to create a new record.   

Editing a exisiting CNAME record 

    • Legacy Version: Go to the Domains section and select the DNS Zone Editor icon.

    • Rock Version: Click on the Domains tab from the side navigation menu, and then select the Zone Editor option

     

  1. Select the domain you want to modify from the drop-down box.

  2. Scroll down to the CNAME section.

  3. Find the CNAME record you want to modify and click Edit.

  4. Make the necessary changes to the CNAME record.

  5. Click Save to apply the changes.

  6. If you need to create a new CNAME record, scroll down to the heading named Add DNS Record.

  7. Follow the instructions to create a new CNAME record, then click Add Record to save it.
